Show Some Personalized CHARACTER With A Farmhouse Style Kitchen

The style that we call “farmhouse” mimics that simple, inviting feel through weathered elements, practical simplicity, and a classic-yet-comfortable overtone. Designing in harmony with original architecture means embracing ceiling beams, exposed brick, etc.

It has classic, easy-to-love foundations: simple flat panel cabinetry, neutral shades, and warm wood tones. It’s understated but true to its style.

This style has recently been called “the most popular style in U.S. kitchens” (Kitchen and Bath Design Trends 2018).

Kitchen Design Update: Blue Is In!

This kitchen features Dusk, our lightest blue. As you study this kitchen, you might find yourself surprised at how an almost entirely blue kitchen doesn’t actually appear too blue at all...

With the light value and blue-gray hue of Dusk, the perimeter cabinetry reads as a subtle neutral rather than an overly-intense color. And by choosing Buckskin Appaloosa for key features, the palette is unexpected, warm and inviting!

The Greatness of Grey

HOW TO GIVE GREY STAYING POWER:

The key to long-lasting greys is all about finding the right shades. While opinions may vary, I believe this is found in the greys with warm undertones. Yes, even “greige” falls into this category. And all of our grey finishes (with the exception of Castle Rock) were strategically developed with warm undertones that keep them from looking cold or commercial-looking. Warm undertones also mean these greys can be paired with creams, beiges, and wood tones, keeping the overall look light, comfortable, and inviting. Which by the way, happen to be some keywords for what homeowners want in their living spaces :)!

Many people like the look of a white kitchen, but are looking for something more interesting and less mainstream —grey is still classic and subtle, but the right grey will have more depth and nuance to it. As a backdrop for other décor, grey deepens and illuminates other accent colors (warm or cool). Without a doubt, grey adds interest beyond white but creates a neutral backdrop to add personalization with other materials, like flooring, counters or even changeable décor.

Each Door Style, Four Options -

Using multiple door styles in a design is now easier than ever with Medallion® Cabinetry’s new door styling options available in Gold.

Maintaining Consistency in Design
The most common application of using multiple door styles is to combine both a raised panel and reverse raised/flat panel in one design. Often, this is seen in designs that have an island or furniture piece added to the space to emphasize the focal point.

“The days when everything had to match are long gone; it’s good to mix things up!”

For example, if our kitchen perimeter uses Brookhill flat panel maple in Divinity Classic paint , then we could use Brookhill raised panel cherry Chestnut on the island for the accent.

As we design the bathrooms, entertainment centers and entry rooms with boot benches, we have the flexibility to change the center panel to beaded with a glaze and highlight for a specialty look, while maintaining an overall consistency throughout the home.
